About me

Greetings! 🤗 My name is Maksim Valialshchikov, a physicist with a background in computer science.

I have completed my Bachelors in theoretical physics and Masters in information science. Currently I work on my PhD in physics. I really enjoy programming, puzzles and sustainable packaging. I try to make my scienfic work open source for public access.

I have experience in:

• Writing simulation packages for various physical processes (light-by-light scattering, Thomson scattering, partial differential equation solvers, Monte Carlo samplers and more)
• Working with high performance computing (on Slurm clusters, parallel computations, GPU computations)
• Conducting data analysis in Python and Mathematica
• Working with Machine Learning algorithms, Neural Networks, Bayesian inference and Bayesian optimization
• Performing analytical calculations in the area of classical and quantum electrodynamics
• Teaching physics and programming concepts
